Connect WordPress to your 1Consent app and load its consent configuration.

== Installation ==

1. Download the ZIP from https://1consent.app/downloads/wordpress/1consent-latest.zip.
2. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Install and activate the ZIP.
3. Open Settings > 1Consent, enter your App ID, choose a stage, and save.
4. Live requires a published configuration. Preview uses unpublished changes.

The plugin runs at the earliest wp_head priority. Your theme must call wp_head()
before emitting third-party scripts. Clear page caches after changing settings.
Uninstalling deletes this plugin's App ID and stage settings.

== External service ==

After an App ID is configured, visitors load a script from web.cmp.1consent.app.
The script loads the app's CMP configuration and the assets needed to display it.
See https://1consent.app/docs for configuration and privacy documentation.
Test site operators can set ONECONSENT_BOOTSTRAP_URL in wp-config.php to use their
local or develop CMP. Distributed downloads always default to production.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.1 =
* Correct the default CMP bootstrap origin for installed plugins.
* Support Live, Preview, and Staging publication stages.
* Validate settings and remove them when the plugin is uninstalled.
